ANDES
A downloadable game for Windows
ANDES is a tactical turn-based strategy game set in Andean culture. Take control of one of four factions, build your army, capture towers and destroy the enemy Master before they destroy yours.
Each match feels unique thanks to procedural map generation, the card system, match mutators, and the blessings your units earn through combat.
DEVELOPMENT NOTICE
ANDES is in active development. This is an early version (Beta 0.8+) and does not represent the final product. The music and some sound effects in this version were generated with AI as conceptual placeholders. They do not represent the final soundtrack. I'm a digital artist with limited programming experience, building this project with the help of AI tools, YouTube tutorials and a lot of perseverance. The project is currently seeking funding to:
- Hire local Argentine musicians to compose the original soundtrack
- Bring on an experienced programmer to supervise the codebase, improve performance and ensure long-term maintainability
If you enjoy this project and want to support these goals, donations contribute directly to making ANDES the game it deserves to become.

ABOUT ME / THE STORY BEHIND ANDES
I'm Fretshe, a digital artist (concept art, character design, freelance) with experience contributing to small indie projects at Chilling Studios ChillingStudios - itch.io. ANDES was born from a desire to bring a game that marked my childhood — Master of Monsters — into the modern era with contemporary mechanics. I had always dreamed of making this project a reality, but never found the right way to approach it. The gaucho theme came naturally — Argentine criollo folklore is something I've always been fascinated by, with its incredible richness and depth. I had the visual side covered through my artistic skills, but I needed to bring my ideas to life mechanically. So I decided to start development in Godot. I built the project by following YouTube tutorials and using AI to help me with code. I still have a lot to learn, but this journey has been incredibly rewarding. ANDES is a personal labor of love — a tribute to a childhood game and to the cultural roots of Argentina, made by someone learning every step of the way. 💖

ROADMAP & UPDATES
ANDES will receive regular updates with bug fixes, balance adjustments, new content and quality-of-life improvements based on player feedback.

Right now I'm focused on illustrating the cards — each one will have unique custom artwork that better captures the spirit of its faction and effect. Stay tuned for the next update! Follow the project to get notified when new versions drop.
If you enjoy the project, donations help directly fund the original soundtrack composed by human artists. Feedback is genuinely appreciated. 😁
